Coneflower Seedhead

I found a dried coneflower seedhead in late spring. I liked the mood of it - it’s tough, survived the winter and resilient, so I decided to draw it.

This coneflower tote bag is created from a gliclee print on canvas. I was going to just frame the canvas fabric on a stretched wooden frame, but it seemed like a shame to just frame it since canvas can be made into things. So I created this tote bag. The strap is chain I bought from Habitat Restore, because I like to repurpose as much as possible. I looked in thrift stores for grommets, but couldn't find any, so off to JoAnn's, where you can find about any craft need under the sun.
Thanks to Wilderness Studio in Solon, Iowa for the expert printing on canvas.

The tote bag is 8 1/2” H x 7” W x 1 1/2” D. If you are interested in this tote, please contact me. It’s one of a kind.
